Isn't it interesting how our own cultural beliefs become "fact."  Sort of
how all the urban myths that swirl around the internet become "fact"!  I
don't think I would have ever been as aware of this as I have become,
except for the world wide dimensions of Lactnet, Jack's long litany of
breastfeeding myths and Kathy D's interesting anthropological comments.
Just fascinating!

I find myself 2nd guessing a lot of my dearly believed "facts" in light of
other cultural ideals. I guess the essential message is there is no one
