Oh yes, I wholeheartedly agree. Whenever I am working in urgent care and see
one of these 'sick all the time' kids, I always ask the mom if the child is
breastfed. They never are. I then try to gently suggest to the mother that
maybe if she has any more children she ought to consider breastfeeding, since
breastfed children have maternal antibodies to help protect them against
illness. You have to use tact if you want to get the message through w/o
totally turning parents off, but occasionally I think someone hears me. I
hope...
