I would be inclined to think that the
likeliest cause of mom's headaches is positioning. It is a common problem
with the mom's I see who have not attended the twin breastfeeding class
prenatally. Usually what is happening is that the babies are too low, the
nursing pillow needs a couple of pillows below it until the babies grow a
bit. When they are too low, mom keeps her chin tucked while watching them,
re latching, etc. This causes neck strain and muscle cramping along the
shoulders. The result is usually headache and backache. Hope this
helps.
(some might say that, of course she has a
headache, she has twins!)
