I have a client who is giving EBM to her 2 week old son who has cleidocranial
dystosis. For those of you who are not familiar with this, basically he has
absent clavicles, missing a few ribs, and essentially no skull bones. also
recessed chin. He is getting fortified BM, but as mom put it, he will
breastfeed fine in a pinch. He is on Oxygen. Any suggestions on the
likelyhood of getting him to breast? I am going to look at normal bfdg
suggestions for the recessed chin, but any of the doctors out there know
typical life expectations, etc. Have you seen this? Any chance of getting
him to breast etc. He must lay on his tummy at all times. He does seem very
"floppy" when he is held. Help!
