I do not know where the Lactneters got the idea that one immediately begins
antibiotics at the first signs of mastitis.  Suffice to say though, I saw a
case of mastitis in Haiti that without antibiotics, the mother was in
insufferable pain, and her breast was necrosing.  One only needs to see this
to appreciate antibiotics when they are necessary.
In any case, I responded as to when antibiotics are needed.
