Ellen asks about Lactnetters getting together at the Conference. I
have been thinking about this for some time. At the last ILCA
Conference, some of us hastily hand lettered a sign for one of the
breakfasts so Lactnetters could get together. It was a great
opportunity to put faces with names, although only a handful either
saw the sign, or did not have previous committments.
Here's an idea I had. Let's have some way of identifying each other
(like in the early LN days). I was thinking of gluing pins to
either peanuts or maybe pecans and painting "LACT" on them
(Lact-nuts). I can try to get some together in time for the LLLI
Conf, although I'm not sure how much time I'll have since I'm
involved in a large (8000-10000) Baha'i Conference here in Milwaukee
the weekend before. I would post a message on the message board
stating where the nuts could be picked up. Perhaps we could all try
to sit together at one of the luncheons.
Anyone have a better suggestion? I'm not emotionally attached to
this one.
Winnie Mading (fortunate to have the LLLI Conf in my "backyard" this
year - makes it more affordable)
