I have heard that since ABM uses oils from plants rather than the milk fat,
that ABM has less dioxin than human milk? I do understand that that alone is
not really an argument for formula, just curious.
Also if as Kathy D relates, losing fat = losing dioxin and other fat soluble
contaminates, where does it go? Do we process it in some way and excrete it?
Would there be any benefit in pumping as much as possible with a first child
to eliminate contaminants from our systems thereby reducing the levels that
are passed on to subsequent children? Or continuing to pump after a first
child has weaned?
Feel free to email me privately if these questions are too far OT. Thanks.

Pat in N.J. askes if the statement about dioxin in mothers milk is true. I
understand how hard to swallow that statement is (no pun intended :-) ).
However, since we eat the dairy products of cows, we are further up the food
chain, and our milk is higher still.
