Hi all,
My question was unrelated to an earlier comment about a doctor telling a
mother the bf was causing her acne and suggested she stop bf.
My client just developed acne (first time ever, and this her 4th baby, all
breastfeed over 2 years each) during this last pregnancy and the infant is
not 1 month old and the acne has not gotten any better. I talked to her OB
yesterday and he has started her on some meds to help, but did not even
think about telling her to stop bf. (he would have had the wrath of CRYSTAL
on his head) Just kidding, he and I work very well together. I was
wondering if anyone had any idea what might cause this problem since I have
asked two different OBs and they haven't a clue. Both stated that most acne
during pregnancy clears up after delivery, but since it hadn't then it could
be adult acne in which case it is very hard to treat and very emotionally
upsetting to the client.
