I have been thinking this but not posting, but here goes.
Would there be any reason NOT to try using the mother's own expressed milk
as a skin treatment? Apply a thin coating of freshly expressed milk to the
affected area and leave it on for a couple of hours, repeated ad lib for a
few days?

If it didn't work, no one is the worse for it. If it did, what fun she
could have when she reports to her doctor about it. This report would be in
the letter explaining politely but firmly why she won't be consulting that
doc again.
