I once attended a conference by Dr. Evelyn Jain from Alberta.  She said
most diaper rashes are caused by yeast and clear up well with a little
OTC monostat cream.  It worked like magic on my babies.  When I suspect
nipple yeast I always ask the mom if baby currently has or has had a
diaper rash.
