Another issue I have is that of DHA & Dr. Sear's (among others) proposed
addition to formula. I realize it is used in other countries but the FDA
hasn’t approved it here yet has it? The last I read on this issue was
months ago in a business magazine where the side effects of the DHA source
proposed were troubling to the FDA (I am searching for the reference now).

I become frustrated with the vain attempt to synthesize components of
breastmilk. It seems ridiculous to break down a free, readily producible
perfect product to try & duplicate a few components out of it at great cost
to make a clearly inferior product slightly better.

I do not have the answer for the mothers who must supplement or feed
exclusively with ABM, however. Pour money into milk banks? Develop safe,
recipes for homemade formulas?

Any ideas?
