Thanks for your reply. My information states that prolactin has a half life
of 20 minutes. After confirming with the mom, she states that it had been
at least 2 hours since her last bf session. Given this info, the half life,
the mean (44 ng/ml) and the standard error of the mean prolactin levels, it
is fairly safe to say that this mom does have an elevated prolactin level
(82.3 ng/ml). Her internist is ordering an MRI, but the HMO has to approve
it.
