To add to what Magda wrote: If I remember correctly, one of the problems of
non-compliance was that women asigned to the artificially-feeding group
followed tradition and did some breastfeeding (at least in public). As I
know from other sources, *not* breastfeeding would have left them open to
questions about why they were giving bottles, and risk identifying them as
HIV+. Anyway, non-compliance was an issue in reading the study, as teh
groups weren't clearcut.
