I have been nomail lately, and so don't know if Lactentters have seen the paper, in the May issue of AIDS, by Anna Coutsoudis and colleagues. This paper carefully discusses the issues raised in the Kenyan study about maternal mortality. Coutsoudis et al re-examined their own careful study in Durban, and found *no* increased risk. The paper is worth accessing in your local medical libraries. The publication details are below.
