HI
regarding dischage information, I wrote a poem to include all the major
points on breastfeeding that the mum's could remember.
Ode to breastfeeding
To fill'emup and fill'em high
Lift up the feet, knees bent to the sky
Straight back supported, confidence gained
Skin to Skin contact can be maintained.
When cuddling and postioning babe on Mum
Ensure chin-to-breast, chest-to-chest and tum-to-tum.
This gives good postion and optimal latch
Encouraging Mother's milk goes down the hatch
Beginning with suckling strong and suckling good
Slows to a rhythm as baby should.
Leave at the breast until self detach
Offer the secound breast with optimum latch.
It may start out as first begun
Or just a few sucks required to fill babe's tum.
Drain breast often and drain them well
Will encourage Mum's milk supply to swell .
Feed as need for either babe or Mum
Ensures a good supply for months to come
Breast feed complete, a job well done
A happy babe, a happy Mum !
