Hi Karen,

Don't forget that being unable to sleep (besides going with the territory)
may be a sign of Post Partum Depression.

As an aside, I was recently told by a grandmom that attended our bf support
group with her daughter that she heard that it was a concern for bf moms to
consume honey. Has anyone heard this at all?? I know the concerns for baby
taking honey directly is related to botulism. Hale reports on a case in which
neither the toxin nor the bacterium from a mom with botulism was found in her
milk. This woman, who says she works in a hospital (altho I am not sure in
what capacity) was adamant that nursing moms should not consume honey, based
on a case she observed. I told her that I would look into it, and so was
wondering what your collective wisdom has heard.

Many thanks,
