Dear lactnetters,
I've been asked to make a presentation for the local area dieticians at
their conference on: Controverseal topics and breastfeeding.....I plan to
did out some of the newspaper headlines that focus on breastfeeding issues.
What do you think I should bring up that would interest the dieticians? I
thought I'd also talk on how controvery can be useful in understanding
anothers point of view, makes people challange their beliefs, can polarize
groups etc. How would you approach this, to get the most "thinking" out of
it....Other ideas I has where "Baby Friendly"and formula co. monetary
support, DHA additives to diets of nursing mothers, etc. I's also like to do
some easy interactive things with the group- like a short role switching
exercise on a topic.
