In regard to Andrea's comment:
"Look, I already admitted that I am not an LC and therefore not
QUALIFIED to comment. You do NOT need to beat me over the head with
this."
I'm sure noone is trying to "beat you over the head". I think what
is happening is that people write a response when they see a post of
interest even though they may not have yet read all the intervening
posts. In my case I usually check out the LN digests every couple
days. Sometimes there's several digests waiting. If I wait until I
have read them all, I tend to forget the ones I wanted to respond
to, so I often respond right away while it is fresh in my mind.
Then I'm embarassed to see, as I read through the other waiting
digests, that one or more others have said basically the same thing.

Therefore, rather than repeating what others have said, I suspect
that each of the people who contradicted your statement probably
thought they were the first or only ones to make such a comment.
Please don't take it personally.
To other LN posters: I think it is important to preface a response
(sent before being totally up to date with digests) with something
like "sorry if this has already been pointed out" or "haven't read
all the accumulated LNs, but felt compelled to respond even though
others may have already done so", especially if we are disagreeing
with something that has been posted.
As has been said so often, let's not "eat our young" I'd hate to
think a new or aspiring LC would be turned off to this resource
because he or she felt "dumped on".

occasionally taken aback by some responses to her posts.
