Letıs try this again,
The previous post was difficult to read, I am not sure why it printed out
the way it did, but here goes another try.
Story below
7 week old has been diagnosed with cows milk protein allergy. At 5 weeks of
age, mom first noticed babyıs stool had mucus with strand of blood. per
Peditritianıs advise she eliminated ALL cow milk protein from her diet.
Since then, the baby has had 12 more stools with streaks of blood in the
mucus. Babys stools are green and not all the stools have blood streaks in
them. 2 to 4 days have gone by in between the blood streaked stools.
She has been told to stop breastfeeding and use alimentum.
She has been told she can pump for 4 months and may be able to breastfeed
when baby is 6 months old.
She really wants to breastfeed!!!!
Does anyone out there have any ideas, or advice I can pass along to her?
Thanks in advance.
