Hi, remember me?
I personally do not NPO breastfeding babies for circumcision, infact to help keep them happy and make it more likely they sleep through the circ I encourage the mom to breastfeed immendiately before the circ.
If a baby is 24 hours old I doubt there is much milk in the stomach after a feed. What is avg production in the first 24 hrs ? 90 cc? Divided by say 8 feeds, not much per feed.
Is a baby going to reflux and aspirate this? I doubt a nuerologically intact baby will aspirate and Ruth Lawrence's text does say colustrum is not irratating to the lungs if aspirated.
