Yesterday, I taught a small university class something about
breastfeeding, and learned at the same time just how little respect
students are given in return for their money -- the prof made jokes
about "demos" throughout. Not the students, though, who were there on
time, listened, and asked questions. However, by not getting uptight, I
actually managed to find some points that made him take me and
breastfeeding seriously. I realized that LLL had taught me more about
teaching than anything else except, of course, my children.
