Yvonne, this sounds like a potentially complicated case.
I would think from your end you can asses the baby's feeding and say yes this baby takes adequate milk or no he does not, ie this is or is not a breastfeeding problem.
Past that it becomes a medical problem, UTI's can cause poor growth. Did the baby eat solids before this?
I have a pateint with resolving FTT, nice to be able to say "this is not a breatsfeding problem" she in fact had renal tubular acidosis.
