Dear Lactnetters, especially those in Illinois,
Is there any law that would require an employer to limit the travel distance from the building in which an employee (a nursing mother) clocks in and another office in the same health care system at which she works? I may not be making myself clear here. Our Human Resource dept. manager asked if an employer has to offer a position within a 15 mile radius of current employment to a nursing mother returning from maternity leave. Our hospital owns several physician's offices in a tri-county area.
I am not aware of any such laws, but would appreciate any input. Thanks in advance for your help.
