Barbara: I'm curious...are you suggesting that MY providing a list of the
deleterious effects of milk & Cardiovascular references last night to the LN
list is somehow trying to control their behaviors? My point in doing this
is to provide information and justify my own position (personally and
professionally) which as one LN poster aptly said has to be defended against
institutions such as schools that now insist that children drink all their
milk.
And, I must say that while I'm not trying to control LNers eating, many of
my patients DO come to me expressly for the purposes of nutritional advice,
as it is listed as one of my services--along with LC services, alternative
integrated care-- on my flyer. I also teach entire nutrition courses at our
local college where the purpose of my being there is to impact knowledge and
gently guide the food choices of my students. Control, no--information &
guidance, yes!
Please do elaborate.
