I actually had a very good friend of mine try to give me one of these
bottle propper things when my second child was born. She kept raving
about how indispensible it is when you have two children close in age. I
just kept telling her (over and over), thanks so much for thinking of
me, but I really don't think I will need that. She kept insisting I take
it until I finally asked her how I would prop my breast on it (as far as
I know, my breasts don't detach from the rest of me)! She cracked up.

We've all been debating the relative fittness of formula. Believe me, I
would rather chew on shredded glass than give my children formula (they
are genetically predisposed to Type 1 diabetes). But to me an issue just
as important as the components of human milk is how an infant is fed. It
makes me sad to think of babies sitting in their plastic seats with
bottles propped, in front of the TV, watching a Baby Einstein video for
intellectual stimulation. I would hope most moms would have the sense to
instead buy the Maya Wrap on this same site, and give their babies the
warmth, physical closeness and interaction that their babies crave
(breastfed or not). That's worth more than a thousand Baby Einstein
vidoes.
