Flattering as it is to be recommended, in my formative experiences, I was
so focused on the pliability of the nipple-areolar tissue, I never even
thought to question the possibility of tongue-tie, let alone the
possibility of palate problems, except in the case of that were blatantly
obvious.
I know there are others coming from the background of dentistry, ENT,
speech development, perhaps PT or OT etc. who have probably made the most
pertinent observations, and might have written about them.
I for one, would like to find some good references, and learn to factor
it in to "my world view" of breastfeeding management.
