WESTPORT, CT (Reuters Health) Nov 27 - The maturation of
humoral immunity in infants may depend on what types of
bacteria colonize in their intestines as well as on the
timing of this colonization, according to study findings
that appear in the Archives of Diseases in Childhood,
Fetal and Neonatal Edition.
Interesting article, for what is missing, as much as for what was included.
Certainly what is fed to the baby is a factor. I am also theorizing that
c/s babies are more likely to have delayed first BF and may get something
other than mother's milk for the first feeding....
