at a recent local conference a businesswoman spoke about this, and she
pointed out that she has her baby in a nationally franchised daycare chain
(baby world? children's world? i forget - i TRY to forget these things)
because she can put her baby in a local branch of these anywhere in the usa.
so she took her child with her on as many business trips as possible and put
him in the local day care.
she pointed out that most rooms have little refrigerators already anyway, so
milk storage is not such a problem, and the hotel can freeze it for you if
you ask.
i had never heard of this before, but i gotta admit - its a brilliant plan.
you tell the hotel concierge to have diapers ready when you arrive, you have
your pump anyway, and in the evening you can just hang out with your baby and
room service. i think the next time i get to go somewhere i will tell the
concierge to get me a breastfed baby for my room service.
