What worked well for me was to simultanesously breastfeed an pump first thing
in the morning. This had the advantages of double pumping but as one is
generally fuller in the morning I found I got more milk this way. I also did
some pumping on weekends to store up the the anticipated drop off by the end
ot the week. As the baby is approaching four months mom will soon also be
able to include some solids in the diet if she wishes which wil decrease the
need for fluids. On occasion I even added a little water to the bottles - no
more than 4 ounces per day (true confessions here) but with a thriving baby
the main goal of the hours in day care is to keep them happy - they do a good
catching up job at home
