While thrush can cause babies to "click" due to changes in how they suck
when their mouth is uncomfortable, I would be more suspicious of the strong
milk ejection reflex that you describe (oversupply?). The timing of the
start of the click may be more closely related to when mom's milk came in
than the giving of antiobiotics-- realize that it usually takes time for a
yeast infection to develop postpartum in such circumstances.
Tongue-humping is a classic way for babies to control a strong flow of milk
that is overwhelming them. While suck training may be helpful, the ultimate
fix will lie with controlling the flow, i.e., positions that place baby
above breast, one-sided nursing, etc. When baby is able to "trust" that the
breast isn't trying to drown him, he will be more cooperative in his sucking
technique.
