Ibuprofen is an anti-prostaglandin and slows smooth muscle movement.   Hence the slower menstrual flow, the upset GI
tract when people take large doses or for an extended period, and likely, the decrease in motility of ductile tissue in
breasts leading (possibly) to plugged ducts.

I wonder if it affects fertility in suseptible people as well- both men and women, since fertility can rely on smooth
muscle to eject the sperm and then to move the fertilised egg down the fallopian tubes?
