Rachel,
The midwife in question is strongly citing her own experiences with her
clients. I did not hear this directly, but from a friend who serves on a
board with the midwife. This whole discussion came up during a board
meeting, and my friend was dismayed by the strident tone. It's hard to
refute the argument that someone has experienced this with her clients.....
though I question how many in truth.
