I have a client who has been offered her "job of a lifetime" in Kiev,
Ukraine. She and her husband have lived there before and loved it. However -
she is wondering about the safety of having a baby (now 4-1/2 months) learn
to crawl, walk, take solids, etc. in an environment that is contaminated
after Chernobyl.
She's already planning to bring boiled water, organic american-grown baby
food, and to return for her baby's nine and twelve month doc appointments
with a pediatrician worthy of her trust.
But she's nervous. She says the people who live there can't really talk to
her about risks - they're all living in denial.
Comments? Things to consider? Resources?
Thanks so much! I don't always have time to be on the list anymore but sure
do appreciate being able to tap into such a tremendous resource!
