Received a call from a mom with a horse....she is also trying to contact her
vet for more info. Her horse is receivinf a pultice treatment to an injured
leg which consists of Dimethyl Sulfoxide. The horses care taker did say that
even though she wears gloves she has noticed an odd aftertaste in her mouth
after treating him. This mom is concerned that if she were to continue this
treatment to the horse herself would it be a danger with breastfeeding her
child. While it is probably not necessary for her to treat the animal.....I
am not able to answer this question for her...except to say, "Let someone do
it for her".
