Well, yes -- sort of. WIC has been given (at least in the first
authorization) $8 million for bf promotion which, of course, is a drop in the
bucket for what their needs are, but the government IS putting money where
their mouths are as far as promoting bf within WIC. Someone can help me out
here as to how much WIC has been given in the reauthorizations. The $8
million was back in the early 90's, I think, and I know it has gone up since
then.
