I have a new client trying to stimulate her supply. She has had her prolactin levels tested and was told by her HCP that they were some of the lowest they had ever seen. Her baby is 9 months old, she has had to supplement him from day one, but she would like a long nursing relationship with him, at this point her goal is one year and she's almost there. He stopped taking the breast out of frustration a while back. She has to use fenugreek in order to pump even 2 oz. a day! Any suggestions? Would some other prescription milk boosters help in such a case? Is there anything else she can do to boost her prolactin naturally? I feel like I am missing something. She has been working hard to try and get him back to the breast with several different methods, but now he's biting her!
