Yael, had a similar situation recently. Mom was referred to surgeon. Was to
have a ductogram after delivery. Surgeon said she could nurse on unaffected
side but would have to wait until ductogram was done to nurse on the affected
side. Anyway, bloody discharge stopped before delivery. Mom went on to
deliver and nursed without any problems.   Lawrence's Breastfeeding Guide for
the Medical Profession has good information on this subject.  So, yes your
mom should be able to breastfeed!!
