Can anyone give me a resource or answer regarding the impact of 2 units of blood transfused to a breastfeeding mom?  The medical advice was to stop breastfeeding, and I am not certain for how long, but I cannot find information on this so far.  After the transfusion, the mother was allowed to breastfeed again.  Are there contraindications?
