(My director has asked me to give a short talk about the health
benefits to mothers associated with breastfeeding for a program we are
offering the public on Breast Health awareness.)

Mirian Labbok has a great summary of the current research related to health benefits of breastfeeding for the mother. LabbokM 1999 Health sequelae of breastfeeding for the mother. Clinics in Perinatolgy 26(2):491-503.
