A good (and less stressful and time-consuming) strategy for educating
pediatricians about breastfeeding who really haven't learned much about it
through medical school or personal experience, is to give them a copy of Pam
Wiggins' little book "Why Should I Nurse My Baby," or at least the chapter
on the benefits of bf.  It is short and sweet, but referenced.  They are
cheap and available through amazon.com, and I have no financial interest in
their sale.  I believe Dr. Gail Hertz of LactNet also sells her "Little
Green Book" about bf, which is also excellent.
