OK, this is of personal interest, but I wouldn't have thought of asking it if
another mother hadn't asked me first!
Are babies who are sensitive to cow's-milk proteins in their mothers' milk
typically also sensitive to other species' proteins in the milk? For
example, could the mom safely eat sheep cheese or goat yoghurt?
The mom who asked has a very crabby 2 month old, and mom can hardly imagine
giving up dairy since "it's almost all I eat!" So some of these "other
dairys" might make it easier for her, if they do not pose the same problem.
In fact I guess this is a question about dairy allergy generally, for
grown-ups and taken directly as well as for nurselings getting it second hand.
Both researched and anecdotal evidence welcome on this one. Thanks.
