Dear Denise, I just read your post about the twins. Yikes! It just
reminds me that a great birth is no guarantee of easy breastfeeding. Is
the bottom lip flanged? Are the frenula tight (top or bottom)? Is there
a crypt where there should be a palate? I had a "jumping mom" recently
(funny now, not funny at the time), and her baby was scrubbing the
bottom of her nipple with the tongue! Latch looked great---until I did a
finger assessment (which I assume has been done). How are things now?
