thanks Gretchen. I already had read that in looking for references (Lawrence
is the first book I pick up when looking for something). But I cannot find a
supporting reference.
And, as far as I understand it, BALT, MALT, GALT do apply to the pathway of
responses via the immunesystem of the mother.
GALT applys to the gut-mammary pathway, so it means - i think - the mammary
gland responds with prododucing sIgA, on attacks of patogens in the mother,
in this case in the gut of the mother.
This is how i understand it. Please correct me if i'm wrong.
I've looked it up in articles as Hamosh
(http://www.medscape.com/Medscape/WomensHealth/journal/1996/v01.n09/w120.ham
osh/w120.hamosh.html) and Newman (the article in the Scientific American),
but cannot find support of this often made statement.
I will look into the articles of Paula Meier.
