Contamination Issues aside. If more than one person has used the pump, I
would think that the motor could be adversely affected. For example: If owner
one used the pump, it could affect how well the pump is able to maintain
suctions or speed for owner # 2. Without a pressure gauge (which I doubt most
of the general public owns) there is no way to check if pump is working
within the manufacturers specifications.
That being said, I would personally rather see a mom use her own collection
kit & share a pump with her best friend or sister than feed formula because
she cannot afford a pump on her own.
