Dear Pat and others, I'd like to second Pat's recommendation for Dr.
Dermer's publication
she states; <<Dr. Alicia Dermer (on Lactnet) has
published a Physician's Guide to BF that has a good 6 page telephone triage
section for office personnel.>>
Pat was kind enough to mail me a couple prior to an inservice I provided last
month to a pedi practice on breastfeeding. They wanted advice on how to make
their practice more "breastfeeding friendly", a tall order for 1.5hrs
(especially for this practice ;) ), but I used the AAP's guidelines for
establishment of a "baby friendly office practice", referring often to Dr.
Dermer's reference, especially the decision trees which they were very
excited about. I gave them one as a "gift" when I left along with info. on
how to order more!
