i hate to think that these stylish (what a great term pat) formulas are safe,
i do recommend that people use them when they have to use something, because
we DO know how dangerous the cow and soy ones are. so i would vote for the
hypoallergenic ones. however, i used to have a correspondence with a mother
of a preemie and she reported that on her list for mothers that every last
single one of them besides her was putting oil in their babies' formula to
"make" them gain the weight their doctors had ordered them to gain.

so i think maybe you are right, the oil straight might be the best solution,
since i would have encouraged her to do the fat skimming and she didn't
choose to do that.
