It is not how much weight the baby lost, it is how well the baby was
nursing. If the baby nurses poorly and loses only 1%, he will still not do
well. And if the baby loses 15% and is breastfeeding well, he will gain it
back without supplements. But this requires that health care professionals
who are advising know whether a baby is well latched on and actually
*drinking*, not just sucking. And they don't!
Stop the numbers, it's ruining breastfeeding!!!
