Debbie, one of my colleagues had a mother whose baby developed breast
refusal when she stepped up the dose of fenugreek. Apparently the infant
disliked the mother's strong skin smell. So it didn't help breastfeeding
and in fact interrupted it! The baby returned to the breast after she
stopped the fenugreek and the odour went away.
I have no experience of using fenugreek, except for the occasional Mum
who is already taking it, and who swears by it. If you are looking for
informaton on any infant effects, why not do a Medline or CINAHL search?
