Thank you Catharine, for calling our attention to a lack of manners,
as I would perceive it.
I don't know if anyone agrees, but:
To take the issue of "ignorance" in lactation matters farther along, is
there any way that IBCLC physicians along with the examiners who give
the IBCLC test could get some medical students to voluntarily "sit" for
the exam who are going through OB/GYN, pediatric and family practice
rotations?
If the accreditation exam was flunked by prospective doctors right now,
a need could be seen. It would open their eyes as to who the experts
in this field truly are. The only problem is the medical community
trying to take over the admnistration of something they did not
develop themselves.
Just an idea.
