While I don't have actual scientific documentation to this effect, I do have
firsthand experience that some people become quite tired for a little while
after blood donation. More fatigue, I think we all agree, is the last thing a
mother with an 8 week old needs. She should probably wait until the baby is 6
months, minimum. Better yet, until he's a year. She could have someone else
donate for her or just pay whatever her blood bank's fee is.
